A Health Update
Hey there folks,
So health is a pretty nasty bundle of joy right now. In the last 3+ weeks I've taken a pretty hard turn for the worse, unfortunately. We talked to my doctor in Missouri, yesterday, and we're going off the meds(four of them actually) I'm currently on and starting Flagyl, an antibiotic I tried before these four. It was clear we weren't going in the right direction with these current medicines, I'd started blacking out again, muscle tremors got majorly worse, and some annoying brain issues popped up. We got my eyes checked out again and I got some spenndy eyedrops that have a honey like consistency O_o My glasses are also the wrong prescription, can't wait to get that fixed. :D
On a spiritual heartbeat: This quote by C.S Lewis does a great job of summing up some of my feelings.
“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak [.......] when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory, and Other Addresses
I have been able to listen to quite a few short(thirty minute) John Piper sermons from 1981, lately! They have been oh-so-good.
That's about the size of it. ^_^

I love that book of C.S. Lewis's writings and especially love that quote. Was talking to someone at lunch about how few of us (including myself) love a good crisis, and yet God often prepares gems for us in the darkness. Thinking of you and the fam.
@Anna, that is always, and will always, be appreciated.
@The Aunt,Bethany owns the book, I may skim through. Right now my eyes are playing havoc with any sort of reading so we'll have to see if they oblige.
Thanks for checking out the blog, The Aunt!
PRAYING FOR YOU!!!! God is doing great things through you!! :D
Thanks Naomi! I'm glad you see him doing great things. Right now I'm gearing my prayers toward Him fulfilling a statement He made to me a few weeks back: That through and in my sickness those people around me would see the power of God.
Thanks for the update! Still praying for you. Keep on holding on.
Praying, sir. Thanks for the update - please keep them coming!
